We are a modern private specialist surgical practice located at Lowveld Hospital in Nelspruit.
The hospital’s state of the art theatres are used for surgery requiring general anesthesia. In addition we are able to offer various procedures under local anesthesia with or without sedation in our well-equipped in-office surgery.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery is used to treat many diseases, injuries and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws and the hard and soft tissues of the oral (mouth and maxillofacial, jaws and face region). It is an internationally recognised surgical speciality of dentistry as well as medicine. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons frequently work alongside dental practitioners, medical practitioners, and specialists including orthodontists, prostodontists, ear nose and throat surgeons, plastic surgeons, oncologists, orthopaedic surgeons as well as physiotherapists.
Maxillofacial and oral surgical procedures can be performed in the office as an out-patient same-day surgical procedure. Some patients may stay a few days overnight and some patients may need high care or even intensive care treatment.
